Charity should never strip away human dignity. Instead of dispensing random boxes of secondhand clothing in humiliating ways, Mersal founded its Permanent Charity Store and Community Fairs based on a respectful shopping model.

The store is arranged exactly like a commercial retail boutique: clean display aisles, categorized racks for children, women, and men, fitting rooms, and friendly volunteer staff.

Eligible families receive personalized shopping vouchers with allocated points. Parents and children enter the store, browse through pristine new and gently sanitized clothing, try on garments in dressing rooms, and select what suits their taste and sizes completely free of charge.
