Many of the most advanced tertiary medical institutions in Egypt are centralized in Cairo. When impoverished patients travel from Upper Egypt, the Delta, or border governorates for extended cancer chemotherapy, radiation, or organ transplantation, they often face homelessness outside hospital gates.

Mersal established its dedicated multi-story Patient Guest House to eliminate this heartbreaking hardship. Designed with warm hotel-like comfort, the house offers fully furnished air-conditioned rooms, clean private bathrooms, and fresh bedding.

Patients and their primary companions receive three wholesome daily meals tailored to their dietary needs, on-site nursing supervision, recreational spaces for children, and organized transportation to and from their hospital appointments.
